Polonnaruwa
Description
Polonnaruwa is the second ancient capital of Sri Lanka, known for its stunning ruins and intricate carvings. The city is part of the UNESCO-listed Cultural Triangle and features grand statues, stupas, and royal palaces. The Gal Vihara rock temple, with its large Buddha statues carved out of granite, is one of the highlights of Polonnaruwa.
